Nicoli has been at UCT since 1991. She has a doctorate from Oxford (on 'Wages, Profits and Apartheid'). Her research interests include unemployment and economic policy in South Africa, the political economy of antiretroviral treatment, AIDS policy and AIDS denialism in South Africa. Nicoli is a member of the AIDSTruth.org team, a website dedicated to combating AIDS denialism.
